Integrative psycho-spiritual counselling

Returning to Wholeness

Sometimes life can leave us feeling disconnected from ourselves.

You may feel overwhelmed, anxious, emotionally exhausted, stuck in old patterns, spiritually disconnected, feel drawn to deeper healing or simply aware that something no longer feels aligned. You might be carrying grief, navigating change, questioning your direction, or longing to feel more like yourself again.

At its heart, psycho-spiritual counselling is about creating a safe, compassionate space where you can gently explore your experiences, reconnect with your inner wisdom, and move towards a greater sense of wholeness.

Healing isn't about becoming someone different.

It's about returning to the person you've always been beneath the layers of fear, pain, expectation and self-protection.

A Different Way of Working

No two people experience life in exactly the same way, so I don't believe healing should follow a rigid formula.   Each session is shaped around you.

Sometimes that means talking. Sometimes it means slowing down and noticing what your body is communicating. At other times we may use mindfulness and gentle breathwork, guided imagery or visualisations, sound journey, creative exploration or, if it feels appropriate and meaningful for you, therapeutic shamanic approaches, that help deepen your understanding of yourself by connecting to your inner wisdom.  These are always with your agreement and only where they genuinely support your journey.

The approach is always collaborative.  We simply work with what feels most supportive in the moment and if it feels right for you.

Supporting the Whole Person

My work recognises that our emotional wellbeing is closely connected with our thoughts, our body, our relationships, our beliefs, our life experiences and our deeper sense of meaning.  Rather than focusing only on symptoms, we explore the whole person; this includes the mind, body and soul.

Together we gently uncover the patterns that have helped you survive, honour the wisdom within those protective responses, and create space for new ways of relating to yourself with greater compassion, resilience and authenticity.

My Approach

My work is trauma-informed and integrative, which means I work with various modalities of counselling theory with a strong emphasis on person-centred, psycho-spiritual and transpersonal approaches.  Where appropriate I also weave in therapeutic shamanic perspectives as this way of working helps beautifully connect with our soul's deep wisdom, bringing insight, guidance and a sense of empowerment.

Everything I do is guided by compassion, curiosity and respect for your own beliefs, values and pace. You don't need to have any spiritual beliefs to benefit from this approach.  The work is always led by what feels right for you.

The Journey

Healing rarely happens in isolation because many of our deepest wounds were formed within relationships. It makes sense, then, that healing can also emerge through the safety, compassion and connection of a therapeutic relationship where we can feel deeply seen, understood and supported as we reconnect with the parts of ourselves that have been forgotten, silenced, judged or left behind.

My role is not to tell you who to become.  It is to walk alongside you as you rediscover who you already are.
